The Inn is located at the very end of the North Fork of eastern Long Island in Orient, New York. There is something so special about this town called Orient. Just a mile from the sea on both the north (Long Island Sound) and south sides (Hallock’s Bay), it is a place where you can step back through time and rediscover a simpler way of life. Relax on the beach. Go boating, fishing, and swimming. Throw a snack in your bike basket and explore all Orient has to offer. It is a place very much of and about nature with land not destroyed by over development.
Orient is connected to Long Island by a narrow causeway that gives this wonderful place the feeling of being in paradise. Although The Inn is situated at the tip of the North Fork, it is very accessible as it's situated just minutes from the Cross Sound Ferry, connecting New England with Long Island. Orient is also easily accessible by car, bus, and train. Orient is a great location to base yourself for all the wonder that the North Fork offers including the historic seaport village of Greenport, Orient State Park, Hortons Point Lighthouse, historical societies, local craft fairs and special events, biking tours, historic architecture, wineries, distilleries, great restaurants, gift shops, farms, orchards, nature trails, fishing out of Orient Point, the Mitchell Park Carousel, and many other activities.
